In May of 2008, Amber McDuffie discovered that she was pregnant. Feeling excited and overwhelmed all at the same time, she did extensive research to prepare herself for what pregnancy and motherhood had in store for her. After reaching out to her dear friend LeVon Harris, who had just given birth to Taylor, she informed Amber of her idea of creating a baby planning business here in Chicago. Amber was excited about working together in the baby business and hopes to help many new and expectant parents through their questions by providing the help that they need. She is proud to be part of the first team of baby planners to launch in the Chicago area. Amber graduated from Western Illinois University receiving her bachelors in Business emphasis in finance and has worked as a Financial Analyst. Shortly after completing her undergraduate degree, Amber began attending Aurora University to attain her MBA. Eliana Eissler is excited to be able to help expectant mamas with the often overwhelming journey of pregnancy and early parenthood. She knows from personal experience that preparing for the arrival of a little one involves much planning and research, and usually there is not enough time or energy to do it all. After the birth of her daughter, Isabel, she understood that new parents need much guidance when it comes to choosing baby gear, baby-proofing their home, and planning for childcare. She has taken on a consultant role to help Chicago mamas plan for the arrival of their babies and ease them into motherhood with her understanding and support of their individual needs. Eliana has a B.A. in Communication from DePaul University, with a minor in International Studies. She grew up in Maracaibo, Venezuela until the age of 15, which contributed to her bicultural and bilingual upbringing. She enjoys photography, reading and cooking, and traveling with her family whenever possible.
LeVon Harris hopes to help expectant and new parents in Chicago by handling the details of their belly and beyond so they can enjoy the experience as stress free as possible. From her personal experience the task of buying everything she needed to be prepared for her little one was totally overwhelming. With her knack for research she read every book under the sun on how to have a peaceful pregnancy to choosing the best baby gear. Shortly after her daughter Taylor was born, she knew that becoming a baby planner was the perfect match. She plans to specialize in helping moms-to-be who have been placed on bed rest due to health complications. LeVon attended Howard University in Washington D.C and majored in communications. She began her professional career as a sales consultant in the online recruiting industry. |
